This is Part 1 of a 2 part course (half a day for each part).

There was a mix of participants at each course from the partners of the NWREP. The objectives for Part 1 were:

1. To gain a better awareness of Equality and Diversity issues.
2. To appreciate how discrimination can be indirect and institutional and how Equality and Diversity can be nurtured individually and organisationally.
3. To introduce the Welsh Assembly’s Black and Minority Ethnic Action Plan for Wales and NWREP’s own Strategy.

This is Part 2 of a 2-part course (half a day for each part).

There was a mix of participants at each course from the partners of the NWREP. The objectives of Part 1 were to gain a better awareness of equality and diversity issues and how they work. The objectives for Part 2 were:

1. To assess and gain skills and competencies that will enable greater inclusion and diversity
2. To understand the North Wales context better particularly in relation to BME (black and minority ethnic) communities
3. To understand the various legislation and/or cultural dimensions and how to manage cultural dilemmas
